About the Blackberry Forge
Jude Berry, owner and blacksmith, has over 15 years experience working with metal. He now runs the Blackberry forge, a small blacksmiths based in St. Albans, Hertfordshire and specializes in creating bespoke fabrications for commercial spaces and unique one off pieces of metalwork utilizing techniques such as making Damascus steel and Mokume Gane.
Blacksmithing & knife making courses
The Blackberry forge runs courses regularly for beginners, where you will learn the fundamentals of blacksmithing and knife making, up to advanced where over the course of two or three days you create your own unique project.
Our courses cover blacksmithing, knife and axe making. Or for those looking for an extra special way to tie the knot, we even have a course where you can make your own pair of unique wedding rings using Mokume Gane, an ancient technique, no two pairs of wedding rings are ever the same.

Bespoke design and fabrication
The Blackberry forge makes custom fabrications and installations including bespoke storage solutions for restaurants and bars, dining tables and seating, sculptures and furniture and have been commissioned by the likes of Google and Sotheby’s.
